Wow it is dead in here.......not really many new posts. Thought I would click and see how it is going but looks like it is not....
I can't understand why......I've always been attracted to new boards with tighter membership groups, but the sounds of crickets seem to be haunting us here.
Hopefully with the springer season coming up there will be more reports and general chit chat from those less experienced wanting exact coordinates to our honey holes.... lol
I filled the gas tank yesterday and might make an exploratory trip out tomorrow depending on the weather. Few springers over the dam. Either that or I'm going shooting. Worked up some new loads to test. Of course the .243 has a blown scope that I noticed yesterday when cycling some reloads through it. It's a beater Savage with an old Simmons crap scope. Time for a Leupold. I'm getting cabin fever I think.
I took mine down & backed it into the river and started it up & let it run the afternoon before I was gonna fish the someone gutted the clouds, rained all night and the river blew out!!!!
Never caught a January springer though I've only tried a couple times......have put down a couple in February though.
That was for steelhead, I normally don't start for springerst till April, Drano. OMG I better get off my duff this year and fish below Bonneville....
A close 2nd is summer steelhead!!!! Anything that arrives early & spawns late is primo eats from the PNW!!!
@Trick @oknow @spectra A few of us from NWFA forum have committed to being more active here. Let’s get this forum jumping. It’s like a busy restaurant ...people are skeptical about going into a dead restaurant, but a busy one is very attractive. I know there are some hardcore outdoorsman in the PNW.
